This was the first song i recorded before i decided to make an EP. I just wanted to express everything i felt about my father, as well as capturing the "aftermath" from this loss. It was also a way for me to accept what had happened-by writing about it. I had to go through this process-or else i was in jeopardy of losing my "sobriety", which was very important to me.

My mind bends thinking of the time spent with him. Reflecting on the memories, but that was then. I'm trying to track him down-right now the wind. Blew his soul away-i stayed felt so pinned. My heart balloon-had passed the moon-consuming space unknown. My "father" kite has flown into a place to roam. When your not too busy in the clouds up there. Will you pay your son's a visit-and your wife that cared...

Lying on his back-oh man his eyes were closed. Gave a final kiss to give-his spine turned cold. My mind turned bold-but my heart just sank. Deep beneath the trenches-through this art i thank-you and all you've done i'm proud to have your blood. Running through my veins-inside my lane with love. Where did you go? When the moon beamed low. When the thunder struck down and took my pop's soul. When the room had glowed-and the truth was told. Snuck away to the heavens passing the north pole...

Took mine like a piece of coal-a boat to row. Down the lonesome waters-your face felt like snow. I can't let you go-your final breath had showed. You vanished like a flying crow-your gold was stowed.
